This is an opportunity to move internally and connect with yourself spiritually and emotionally, allowing for openings and integration of oneself which translates to your daily life in all aspects. As we Relax, Rejuvenate, and Replenish, we have more flexibility with ourselves, and this begins our healing and transformation process. By supporting the body with props, we alternately stimulate and relax the body to move toward balance. Some poses have an overall benefit. Others target an individual part, such as the lungs or heart. All create specific physiological responses which are beneficial to health and can reduce the effects of stress and stress-related disease. View More
FAQ:
Q: Are there approved providers for continuing education?
A:Yes, Stephanie is a certified Continuing Education Provider thru Yoga Alliance and E-RYT 200- and 500-hour certified.
Q: What is Restorative Yoga?
A: Restorative yoga has best been described as “active relaxation” and is a method par excellence for attaining deep relaxation, tranquility, and the many benefits of “de-stressing.” Using blankets, bolsters, pillows, blocks, straps, and other “props” to support the body, practitioners generally experience profound shifts in their nervous system, thus allowing a physiological shift to deep restfulness, calm abiding, and well-being. Gravity does the “work” as the body progressively relaxes and softens. As this occurs, so do the signs and symptoms of stress, such as depressed or elevated moods, hypertension, muscle tension, digestive problems, high cholesterol levels, eyestrain, headaches, and more.
Q: Who Can Benefit?
A: Everyone! Whether you are a competitive athlete, marathon runner, or someone recovering from addiction, a debilitating illness, or emotional upset, these modalities can benefit you immensely. We will “meet you where you are.”

What Other People Think
I was amazed at the depth of support provided by Stephanie Pafford. After a mix of health issues leading to insomnia and anxiety, I am so grateful I discovered Restorative Yoga with Stephanie. This yoga was able to help calm my hyperactive mind and nervous system, let me sleep, and promote healing. As an Occupational Therapist and a Board Certified Coach, I was impressed by the deep rapport Stephanie had with me and other students. In addition, Stephanie has a deep understanding of Anatomy and Physiology and provides gentle but potent hands-on support. With so much gratitude for this yoga, I knew I wanted to become a student of Stephanie’s. As a result, I have recently completed my Restorative Yoga Certification and am deeply appreciative of what I have to now share. It is hard to describe the special way Stephanie shares her heart and wisdom with her students.

Restorative Yoga was, for me, cathartic. I feel it enables us to offer classes and workshops that touch something deep within us all, at the very least the need to feel nurtured, to take for oneself. In these busy times, looking after ourselves is vital, and Restorative Yoga does that on a profound and deep level. Stephanie’s class gives us that ability. It gives us the underpinning knowledge to make the class seem simple but is yet delivered with great knowledge of the body’s systems to ensure that people can surrender to the deep relaxation it offers. They have no need to understand that their para-sympathetic nervous system has been bought on-line to enable such a sense of well-being; they just know they feel the best they’ve felt for months, maybe longer – that’s for us to facilitate. The course is a great balance between theoretical and practical, enabling us to understand exactly what the student needs on all levels. Take the course and experience it for yourself; it can change your life and others too. How great is that!
